Terms and Conditions

 

Product

All products conform to British and EN standards

All products manufactured by vetted sources in accordance with current legislation at time of purchase.

Dimensions and wattages are given as a guide only to assist the consumer and therefore do not constitute a legally binding contract.

 

 

Delivery

The goods you order will be delivered to the address you give when you place your order.

Orders placed before 2:00 pm on a working day will be processed that day and will be delivered as per the requested delivery option provided no additional security checks are required and all stock items are available.

A working day is any day other than weekends and bank or other public holidays.

If you fail to take delivery because you have cancelled your contract under the distance selling regulations the supplier shall refund or re-credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods, less any expenses incurred for failed delivery.

Every effort will be made to deliver the goods as soon as possible after your order has been accepted. However the supplier will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. In these circumstances the supplier will inform you as soon as possible.

Time for delivery shall not be of the essence. The goods may be delivered by the supplier in advance of the quoted delivery date.

 

Upon receipt of your order you will be asked to sign for the goods received in good condition. If you are unable to check the contents of the package at that moment in time please sign for the parcel as "UNCHECKED". Failure to do so may affect any warranty claims that you make thereafter.

 

When your order arrives you must check for damages or shortages. Claims for damages or shortages have to be made within 48 hours of receipt of your delivery. Claims for damages or shortages made after 48 hours of your delivery arriving will be refused.

 Time and date of delivery is recorded with our carriers.

 

Keep all the packaging from your delivery in a secure dry environment in case you need to return any part of your order to us.

Deliveries 3/4 days are charged at £7.50 . All Deliveries 1/2 Days Are Charged At £11.00.

If we are out of stock of any item/s ordered you will be notified of this by E-mail or telephone.

 

Refunds

All products carry a 14-day no quibble money back guarantee.

The fixture cannot have been installed or modified in any way and must be returned in its original packaging complete with lamps and any other parts supplied. (See returns policy).

We have the right to refuse refunds for failure to meet the above criteria.

 

Faulty Goods

Any damages, faults or shortages must be notified within 7 days of receipt. (See returns policy).

Ambient Lighting can not accept responsibility after this period.

Faulty or damaged goods will be replaced or refunded in full in accordance with the consumer's requirements.

Ambient Lighting will in no way be liable for any costs incurred due to faulty goods or shortages such as electrician’s fees, time taken from place of employment etc.

 

 

 

Warranty

All products with the exception of lamps (light bulbs) carry a 1 year return to base warranty. (See returns policy)

In the event of a fault occurring the product will be repaired or replaced according to the nature of the fault.

The warranty applies to electrical components only and is void if deemed that the fitting has been incorrectly fitted or suffered abuse in a manner not intended for the purpose supplied.

 

 

Returns Policy

 

To return goods for any reason please call or E-mail customer services department for a returns number goods, without a returns authorisation number goods will not be accepted.

Goods returned must be returned in there original condition and packaging.

Goods must be returned at the expense of the consumer by registered means.

Goods returned for reasons relating to a fault will be returned to the consumer at the cost of Ambient Lighting as long as they conform to the relevant criteria (see warranty)

 

 

Installation

 

A qualified electrician must install all products supplied.

All products must be earthed where necessary.

The mains supply must always be isolated prior to installation.

N.B. incorrect installation can deem warranty void. (See warranty).

Liability will not be accepted for any personal damages such as electrocution due to improper installation.

Your statuary rights are not affected.
